Dresden Carl Thieme Hand Painted Floral Reticulated Compote

This compote boasts a bold and colorful handpainted floral design, accented by intricate reticulated edges and base with gold trim. Despite its age, the piece remains in excellent condition with minor flaws including a small flea bite at the base, another at the underside edge (which is hardly noticeable from above), and some wear on the gold trim at the base. The most interesting element of this piece is a kiln flaw in the center that was transformed into a beautiful leaf, adding a unique touch and making it truly one-of-a-kind. The piece measures 7 1/2” in diameter and about 4 1/2” tall.
